The Signatory Superb marks the entrance into Vispring’s two-layer spring architecture, pairing hand-opened long-stranded Austrian Moosburger® horsetail with hand-teased Real Shetland Wool blended with cashmere to shape the sleep surface’s feel and thermal behavior beyond what a single filling could achieve. The ticking is woven from wool, silk, and viscose—not for appearance but for breathability and softness that begin conditioning the microclimate at the first point of contact.
Beneath the surface, the upholstery builds in sequence: British fleece wool for resilience and moisture regulation, then the hand-opened Austrian Moosburger® horsetail whose long, naturally crimped fibres resist compression and maintain loft where shorter or blended alternatives would settle. Real Shetland Wool blended with cashmere follows, offering a finer, softer transition layer that moderates temperature without trapping heat. A blend of Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton adds body and absorptive capacity, while the two layers of hand-nested vanadium steel calico pocket springs—with 3,296 springs in a King size—respond independently to weight and movement, delivering continuous support. The border is upholstered with coir and wool, anchored by four rows of hand side-stitching to extend the usable sleep surface to the edge, and each mattress is hand-tufted with woollen tufts and twine to compress the filling layers into a stable, consistent depth at every tuft point.
